I initially purchased a pair of these glasses for riding my harley around town. I now use them for much, much more. Since the lens is one piece of glass (instead of two circular lenses held together by a metal frame) there are virtually zero obstructions to my view. If you wear normal glasses, you quickly get used to seeing the frames and middle cross bar in your vision -- these glasses do not have those parts. This is an extremely beneficial feature. I use them for playing sports, too. They sit very close to my face, allowing very little light to bleed in around the edges, so the overall protection is very good. They are prone to scratching, as all glasses are. However, at $14 i keep the ones in perfect shape for riding my harley, and the others become my sports glasses.
